1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Pro Se Course platform located at https://prosecourse.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must not access or use the Site. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Pro Se Course ("we," "us," or "our").

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Educational Content — Not Legal Advice

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Pro Se Course provides legal education and general information only. Nothing on this Site constitutes legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is formed by your use of this Site or any of its features, including the AI Legal Assistant.

The course content, module lessons, quizzes, glossary, downloadable materials, and AI Legal Assistant responses are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney who is familiar with the specific facts of your case and the laws of your jurisdiction.

Legal outcomes depend on the specific facts of each case, applicable law, judicial interpretation, and many other factors outside our control. We make no representation or warranty that any information provided through the Site will produce any particular legal outcome. You should consult a licensed attorney for advice specific to your legal situation.

3. User Accounts

To access paid course content, you must create an account using our authentication system. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and purchase a subscription. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. Accounts are for individual use only and may not be shared with other persons.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Pro Se Course offers the following access plans:

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By completing a purchase, you authorize us to charge the applicable fee to your payment method. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change with notice. All sales are final except as described in Section 5 below.

Annual subscriptions are not automatically renewed. Your access will expire 12 months after the date of purchase. You will receive a reminder email before your subscription expires. To continue access, you must purchase a new subscription.

5. Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you complete the first 10 modules and do not feel the course will help your case, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund — no questions asked. We stand behind this material completely.

To request a refund or if you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at [email protected] and we will process your request promptly. Refunds outside the 30-day window may be considered at our sole discretion in exceptional circumstances (e.g., technical issues preventing access).

6. Affiliate Program

Pro Se Course offers an affiliate referral program that allows subscribers to earn commissions by referring new paying customers. The current commission structure is as follows:

Commissions are earned only on completed, non-refunded purchases made through your unique referral link. Commissions are forfeited if the referred purchase is refunded. We reserve the right to modify commission rates with 30 days' notice to active affiliates. Commissions are paid out manually upon request; contact us at [email protected] to request a payout.

Affiliates may not engage in spam, misleading advertising, or any deceptive practices to generate referrals. We reserve the right to terminate any affiliate account and forfeit unpaid commissions if we determine that fraudulent or abusive referral activity has occurred.

7. AI Legal Assistant

The AI Legal Assistant feature is an AI-powered educational tool designed to help you understand legal concepts covered in the course. It is available exclusively to active subscribers. By using the AI Legal Assistant, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Responses generated by the AI Legal Assistant are for educational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice.
  • The AI may make errors, omissions, or provide outdated information. You should independently verify any information before relying on it in a legal proceeding.
  • No attorney-client relationship is created by your use of the AI Legal Assistant.
  • You will not use the AI Legal Assistant to generate content intended to harass, defraud, or harm any person or entity.
  • Conversations with the AI Legal Assistant are not stored on our servers beyond the duration of your session. We do not retain conversation history after your session ends.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including but not limited to module lessons, quiz questions, glossary definitions, PDF summaries, course materials, graphics, logos, and software, is the exclusive property of Pro Se Course and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the course content for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit any course content without our prior written permission.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Sharing your account credentials with any other person or entity.
  • Copying, scraping, or systematically downloading course content for redistribution.
  • Using the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems.
  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Site.
  • Using automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Site without our express written permission.
  • Impersonating any person or entity or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PRO SE COURSE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR COURSE CONTENT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pro Se Course and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Site at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to access the Site ceases immediately. Sections 2, 8, 10, 11, and 13 of these Terms shall survive termination.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall first be subject to informal negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
